QuadSpark Ignition Module V1.0 Manual

The QuadSpark Ignition Module is a compact, sealed four-channel ignition driver designed for underhood use. It’s built around the proven BIP373 ignition transistors, giving you the same reliable spark control we’ve long supported, but now packaged in a durable enclosure with a pre-wired pigtail—no need for special connectors or crimp tools.

This module is ideal for:

  • Coil-per-plug setups on 4-cylinder engines

  • Wasted-spark configurations on V6 and V8 engines

It provides a cost-effective alternative to factory distributorless ignition modules, while still offering robust performance.

Wiring Guide

The QuadSpark includes labeled pigtail wiring for straightforward installation:

Coil Compatibility & Dwell Settings

  • For DIYAutoTune IGN-1, IGN-4, or IGN-6 coils: Set dwell to 2.0 ms.

  • For other coils: Adjust dwell to keep peak current at 8 amps or less.

  • Works with most MegaSquirt, MS3Pro, and MicroSquirt outputs requiring external ignition drivers.

Mounting Recommendations

The QuadSpark is designed for installation inside the engine compartment. To maximize cooling and long-term reliability:

  • Mount to a flat metal surface.

  • Use heat sink compound between the case and mounting surface.

  • Ensure it is solidly grounded to the cylinder head or block through the dedicated ground wires.
