Support Policy

DIYAutoTune provides technical support for our products through two customer categories:

Customer Categories

Original Owners

Customers who purchased directly from:

  • DIYAutoTune, or

  • an Authorized Dealer

Support Qualifications:

  • Provide proof of purchase (Order # and/or purchase email)

  • Proof of purchase can be from DIYAutoTune or an authorized distributor

DIYAutoTune Premium Tech Support

A paid option for customers who would like to receive the same support level an original owner would receive for that product’s tier.

Eligibility:

  • Purchased or inherited a product secondhand, or

  • Purchased a DIYAutoTune product from a non-DIY dealer

Details:

  • One-time fee: $99

  • Once purchased, you are supported at the same level as a verified original owner for the product’s tier

  • MS3Pro PNP (any model) with original FW 1.4.x or older

  • MSPNP2 V1.3 (any model) with original FW 3.4.3 or older

Tier 2 – Email Support

Products:

  • MicroSquirt V3 ECU

  • MicroSquirt Module V2.2

  • AMP’d MicroSquirt ECU

  • B&G MS2, MS3, MS3X V3.57 Assembled ECU

  • B&G MS2, MS3 V3.0 Kit ECU

Notes:
Tier 2 products receive email-based support only. Phone support is not available for these models.

Legacy / Obsolescence Policy (Not Covered)

Some older (“legacy”) products are end-of-support and/or end-of-service due to parts obsolescence. These products cannot be repaired, refurbished, or updated because replacement parts, tooling, or compatible firmware are no longer available.

Where possible, DIYAutoTune will suggest upgrade paths to current products that provide equivalent or improved functionality.

Products Not Supported

  • ECUs manufactured elsewhere, including:

    • Stinger Performance – PIMP, PIMPXS, etc.

    • EFI Source – Gold Box, Gold Box Lite, etc.

    • Other Non-DIYAutoTune Products

  • MSPNP2 V1.2 (any model)

  • MSPNP Gen1 (any model)

  • DIYPNP

  • MS1 (any model)

  • MegaStim (B&G site/resources no longer maintained)

  • GPIO (Still Sold, but B&G site/resources no longer maintained)

  • MicroSquirt V2.0

  • Spectre EMSPro

  • Counterfeit MegaSquirt ECUs of any kind

Other Exclusions

  • Non-verified secondhand owners who decline Premium Tech Support:
    No phone or email troubleshooting is provided; documentation links may be offered as a courtesy.

  • Repairs or refurbishment of legacy/obsolete products:
    Devices that are end-of-service due to unavailable components or tooling cannot be accepted for repair or RMA.
