Innovate Standalone Gauge Kit with LC-2 & Blue DB Digital Gauge

Innovate Motorsports introduces their newest digital gauge option for those looking for affordable wideband monitoring. The Innovate “Standalone Gauge Kit” comes complete with the patented direct digital LC-2 Wideband Controller, blue DB 52mm Digital Gauge, Bosch 5-wire Wideband 02 Sensor, serial cable and terminator plug, mounting bung, LogWorks Software CD, and quick start guide.

The DB gauge is designed for air/fuel ratio monitoring only. This model features a blue digital readout, and appears blacked out when the gauge is not powered up. It fits 52 mm (2 1/16″) gauge mounts.

The controller has a programable analog output for connecting to Megasquirt or other aftermarket ECUs. The analog output can emulate a narrow band sensor for connecting to the stock ECU, too. Like the regular LC-2, it has a digital output you can connect to a laptop for data logging with LogWorks software, or daisy-chain the LC2 to other Innovate data acquisition systems.

    Best service, ever.For my home-brew Volvo project car, I needed a standalone system and chose a MS3Pro Ultimate with Innovate LC-2 kit.
    After placing the order, the support was fantastic; perfect communication and service.
    Due to very bad winter weather production of the MS3Pro was delayed but the unit and kit arrived on time nevertheless.
    The kit isn't installed yet, but I'll update the review when it is!

    I purchased my first LC-1 kit with a gauge and controller, plus the wideband sensor a few days ago. I installed it per the directions. I soldered all the connections and didn't cross any wires. The LC-1 worked for 15 minutes, then permanently shut down. Nothing I tried could bring it back. Fortunately DIYAutoTune was great and said I could get a full refund - they didn't ask any questions and issued an RMA number without asking me for any information. They truly provide great service! Now I Just need to figure out if the LC-1 is unreliable, or if I just did something wrong.

Will the gauge fit in a gauge cup?

  • The gauge includes mounting hardware to mount in a panel or a 52mm gauge cup or pod.

What fuels is the wideband compatible with?

  • The LC-2 itself can work with a wide variety of different fuels. The gauge is really only meant to display gasoline AFRs. You could potentially adjust the wideband’s output curve to get it to display AFRs for fuels with a similar stoichiometric ratio such as diesel or propane, but not ethanol or methanol.

What sensor is included?

  • The LC-2 wideband system includes a Bosch LSU 4.9 sensor.

    Yes, it can work on its own or be connected to MegaSquirt. When using both the display gauge and the output to the MegaSquirt, you will need to use both analog outputs, both programmed to the same 0-5 volt curve. Do not try to tie both the MegaSquirt and the gauge to the same analog output wire - other customers have run into a lot of issues trying this that went away when they used both analog outputs working separately.
