MegaSquirt Meet 2013 -- April 19th-20th 2013
Be there!

Dyno time! (This is PhilT's BB 'Vette at 600whp)
It's time for our annual MegaSquirt Meet, and due to popular demand we're going to 'bring it back home' to DIYAutoTune's HeadQuarters in Suwanee, GA (just NE of Atlanta) and let the meet 'return to its roots' a bit!  The last two years we've combined the MegaSquirt Meet with the Classic Motorsports Mitty at Road Atlanta.  The Mitty is a fun event, and we'll still be there this year sponsoring that event, but the meet is happening as a separate event here at DIY HQ.  We'd love to see you at one or both events!
Presentation Time

Bruce and Al (original MegaSquirt designers) will be here for the meet, as will Phil Tobin the developer of TunerStudio and MegaLogViewer, and also James Murray and Ken Culver the MS2X and MS3 Firmware developers!  We'll show off some of the latest goodies we've dreamt up and brought to life, and the code gurus are always interested in your feedback and ideas for how to continue to improve the MegaSquirt project as a whole and to better meet your needs so come and let them hear your voice!

We'll have some Q&A sessions with members of the dev team, as well as presentations on the up-and-coming as well as how to get the most out of your MegaSquirt EMS!  We have people come from around the continent and around the world to be a part of this event, don't miss it!

Checking out other customers rides!

Rumor has it we'll have a band out Saturday night, and we may get the dyno out and play a bit as well!

Admission is free, come join us!

Seems like the MS3-Pro is a home run!

The MS3-Pro EMS is getting excellent reviews from our customers, and our tech support load on these has been next to nothing.  This tells us we accomplished exactly what we set to accomplish:  just wire it up, and this thing just flat works.  Pro shops are excited about these systems, and we expect you'll see more starting to offer installs and tuning for MS3-Pro and MSPNP products soon!  Ask you local shop if they carry the MS3-Pro and let them know they should check it out, it's not the DIY MegaSquirt they're used to, it's MS3-Pro!

Been thinking about designing your own PNP or wire-in ECU, maybe for an OEM project?

Check out the MS3-Pro Module!

We've had the MicroSquirt Module out for quite some time, which is excellent for many OEM applications that don't have especially high I/O requirements, but for the other applications where larger cylinder count engines running sequential injection are required, or where the other I/O needs of the project are higher, we've recently introduced the MS3-Pro Module!

The MS3-Pro Module puts the MS3-Pro circuitry on a board where we've replaced the AMPSEAL connectors with 0.100" pin headers. This provides the core 'brains' needed to build MS3-Pro capable ECU or Plug-N-Play ECU with all B&G/DIY Licensing taken care of.  For OEM's that would like to develop an ECU, this gets you 99% there and gives you a VERY solid platform for doing so.  Our motivation in designing this? We will be using these as the core for MS3-Pro based MSPNPs (to be known as MSPNP Pro), but we're also making them available to the public and to other system designers- why should we have all the fun? Though it's not really the purpose we had in mind, we know we'll have customers that just solder a harness to an MS3-Pro module and call it an ECU, and that will work nicely; but this offers quite a few other possibilities. Here's some things you can use it for:

  • Design your own plug and play PCBs to adapt it to an OEM wiring harnesses
  • Stuff it in a stock ECU case and solder it to the OEM connector to comply with SCCA Street Touring rules or other class racing that allows any retuning device that fits in the OEM ECU case.
  • OEMs can use this board to develop their own Private Label ECU, all hardware and firmware licensing is taken care of!
  • Create a new Mainboard PCB that adds extra features to the core functionality here, like adding high current coil drivers or CAN based extensions to the functionality.

The MS3-Pro Module is approximately 5.5" x 3.5".  We offer volume discounts if you're making a production run.

The CAN-EGT Thermocouple Amplifier Box is shipping now!

The CAN-EGT box lets you monitor up to 8 K-type thermocouples and up to 8 Innovate wideband devices over an Innovate Log Chain, and can transmit the data to a MegaSquirt-II, MegaSquirt-III, MicroSquirt, MSPNP, or MS3-Pro over the CAN bus, so you don't use up any analog inputs for these. It can also transmit its data to a laptop directly over USB, or send a 0-5 volt signal based on the thermocouple inputs to work with external gauges. Here's what this little box features:

 8 inputs for K-type thermocouples

 Cold junction compensation

 0-1250 C input range

Measures both exhaust gas and cylinder head temperature

 8 analog 0-5 volt outputs

CANbus connection for connecting to MegaSquirt

RS232 connection that conects to an Innovate LogChain - currently supports up to 8 Innovate wideband O2 sensors

 USB port for laptop connection

Multiple CAN-EGT units can be daisy chained together to monitor a large number of thermocouples!
