Where is this product assembled?

  • This product is assembled in Suwanee, Georgia, USA.

I have swapped a different year engine, will this still work?

  • You must use the MSPNP that matches the year of the engine harness you are using.

Is this all that I need to get started tuning my Miata?

  • This is a complete package, including USB adapter. But there are some accessories you may want to use to get the most out of this unit.

Do I need to swap to a GM style intake air temperature to remove the mass air flow sensor?

  • No, we use the stock IAT sensor on the Mazdaspeed application.

    you have probably been asked this countless time before, but...... the MSM0405 unit is touted as true plug & play. I've almost made all my MSM problems go away, except one thing. The stock ECU must die. For a totally stock miata set up, is you ecu pre-loaded unit fully capable of handling all my stock needs without tinkering. If not, my biggest hurdle is finding a miata savvy tuner/dyno in Florida because nothing is realistically available in the tampa bay area

    This ECU comes loaded with a map for a stock Mazdaspeed Miata, and installation is very simple - click here for full directions. The included map will start the engine if it is on the original injectors and able to run on the stock ECU. For tuning in your area, I recommend talking to Jordan at PowerSquirt Industries - you can contact him through the PowerSquirt website or his Facebook page.

    Sorry, the Mazda 3 used a completely different ECU design with a different connector. This unit will not fit your application.
