Description

Add a BIP373 Ignition Module with Heat Sink to your DIYPNP EMS to directly fire coils that do not have their own internal ignitor.  This will allow you to convert vehicles that came with a single coil ignition system and distributor over to modern day coil-per-plug or wasted spark ignition fired directly from the ECU!

The DIYPNP Mainboard supports up to four of these modules, you’ll need one for each cylinder you’re firing directly.

Hall Effect Crankshaft Position SensorI bought this item, it's not dirt cheap to me. But, I purchased it. Using it with ms2 extra. Had to do few steps, solder few wires to make it work. Instructions online available step by step. It was easy enough and the felling was rewarding that I did it. The sensor works beautifully, it does the job very nicely, so far I have no complains. Would say much sharper than the pickup sensor for sure. (Project: rotary engine Rx7) thanks diyautotune.

Well MadeA very clean installation - fit the v3.0 board perfectly. I won't go back to drilling and filing my own end plates.

Huge Upgrade from MS1Very easy to swap out my MS1 processor for an MS2. Much faster and more functionality from 16x16 tables to stepper-style IAC to expanded trigger wheel options. Very happy.

How is this different from the BIP373 mod kit for the regular MS2?

  • The mod kit for the regular MS2 includes a 330 ohm resistor and a mica insulator since it is intended to be mounted to the case or heat sink. This kit does not include a resistor (since this is part of the DIYPNP) and has a separate heat sink that attaches to an isolated patch on the DIYPNP.

Yes. You do not need thermal paste between the heat sink and PCB, however.
