DIYAutoTune.com presents our line of 36-1 trigger wheels for use with the Megasquirt. The trigger wheels are laser cut from 11 gauge (1/8" steel) and work with Megasquirt-I with the MSnS-E code, and Megasquirt-II with either the standard or MS2/Extra code. Use the spacers to put the trigger wheel out in front of dish-type pulleys. We've tested these wheels with both GM and Ford style VR type crankshaft position sensors. V3.0 and higher boards can read the sensor output directly, while a V2.2 board requires a Ford EDIS external module or added VR conditioner circuit.

These cover how to determine what trigger wheel you need, how to install them, and how to set up Megasquirt to use your trigger wheel. These wheels require some minor fabrication and machine work to install; the center hole may need to be drilled out to match your crank bolt, and you may need to drill mounting holes. This can be done with little more than a drill press, hand drill, and tap, as described in our articles. You can often make a bracket out of angle iron or aluminum.

Trigger wheels and spacers are unpainted steel and can be painted or powder coated to match your engine compartment.
