This replaces the paper element in SX Performance filters SXF-41002 or SXF-41003 with a reusable stainless steel element. If it gets dirty you can clean it out with carb cleaner. As it does not stop some of the smaller particles, if you are using this filter element with EFI you would use this filter upstream of the pump to protect the pump and a 10 micro filter downstream of the pump to protect your injectors. This arrangement would allow you to keep the paper filter elements in service longer. The manufacturer's tech sheet is available online. |
