It's here... the LCDash digital touchscreen dash for your MegaSquirt running MS1 Extra, MS1 Extra HiRes, MS2, or MS2 Extra code!
This is a great display tool that will allow you to customize the screen to show up to 5 different parameters in a combinations of bar meters, line graphs, and needles gauges. There are several layouts to choose from and more being added all the time.
Some of the parameters you can monitor are:
- RPM
- Manifold Pressure (boost)
- Air/Fuel Ratio
- Coolant Temperature
- Intake Air Temperature
- Injector PulseWidth
- EGO Correction
- EAE Fuel Correction
- Ignition Advance
Firmware updates couldn't be easier-- copy the new file to a special folder on your USB drive and plug it into your LCDash, turn it on and you're updated!
All documentation can be found at http://lcdash.wikispaces.com.
Note that currently there is not a case included with the LCDash, and really that's by design. Generally you'll want to flush mount this in your dash somewhere rather than plaster it on top of your dash in a plastic case... but really you can go either way with that and a case may be developed if the demand is there. The LCDash has a 3" x 5" screen, and the board measures approximately 3 1/4" x 6" x 1". The touch screen is a wide temperature range type screen, with an operating temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees C and a storage temperature range of -30 to +80 degrees C.
You will need a USB Adapter for use with the LCDash, which will allow you to connect from the LCDash itself (USB) to the MegaSquirt's Serial DB-9 port. The LCDash has been designed to work with FTDI chipset USB Adapter such as the one sold here at DIYAutoTune.com, the USB-2920.

A big thanks to Mike Gionfriddo and Christopher Ladden for all of their hard work on this project! |
